What is Xeomin?

Xeomin® is an FDA-approved prescription medication used to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe facial wrinkles caused by repeated muscle movement, such as frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines, and crow's feet. It works by relaxing the targeted facial muscles while allowing you to maintain natural facial expression when properly administered.

What areas can Xeomin treat?

Xeomin is commonly used to soften:

  • Forehead lines

  • Frown lines ("11s") between the eyebrows

  • Crow's feet

  • Bunny lines on the nose

  • Lip flip

  • Chin dimpling

  • Downturned corners of the mouth

  • Neck bands (platysmal bands)

  • Excessive jaw clenching or teeth grinding (masseter muscles)

Treatment recommendations are individualized based on your anatomy and aesthetic goals.

When will I see results?

Most patients begin noticing improvement within 3 to 4 days, with full results developing over 10 to 14 days.

How long do results last?

Results typically last 3 to 4 months, although this varies based on:

  • Individual metabolism

  • Muscle strength

  • Treatment area

  • Dosage used

With regular treatments, many patients find their results become easier to maintain.

Is there any downtime?

There is little to no downtime.

You may experience:

  • Mild redness

  • Small bumps at the injection sites

  • Minor bruising (occasionally)

These usually resolve within a few hours to several days.

What should I avoid after treatment?

For the first 4 hours, we recommend:

  • Remaining upright

  • Avoiding rubbing or massaging the treated areas

  • Avoiding strenuous exercise

  • Avoiding facials or facial massage

You can otherwise resume most normal daily activities immediately.

How often will I need treatment?

Most patients schedule maintenance treatments every 3 to 4 months to keep their results looking consistent.
